Individual therapy
helps you gain insight into the cause of your problems and seek
positive alternatives. Couples counseling provides an area where
two people can learn to communicate individual needs and negotiate
a healthy partnership. Family counseling helps family members

Oakland County Private Practice Network &
Support Group
(OCPPNS), Beverly J. Patchett
founder and director.
We are a vibrant group
interested in supporting each other with group or one-on-one
discussion directed to the various aspects
of private practice. One hour
presentations cover various therapies, mental health issues, and topics that
support individuals in the process of opening a clinical private
practice. Discussion topics at our meetings cover issues such as
licensure, client stigma and laws that may or may not be in the best
interest of our clients and what we as clinicians may do to change them.
Our networking is 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and a continuing
education meeting that follows the second Monday every other
month. We meet for the purpose of networking and supporting all
private practitioners in the mental health field. You do not have to
be a NASW member to attend. Those interested in opening a private
practice are encouraged to join us. Advanced registration
necessary to ensure seating is available.
One hour continuing education
workshops
are held: February, April, June, August, October and
December.
